The BC govt agreed to all 14 recommendations of the Old Growth Strategic Review Panel’s report, A New Future for Old Forests, which came with a 3 year timeline.  3 years is up. Old growth is still going down. And that’s even in areas recommended for deferrals! Come out on September 28th and demand better. GVAT member organization, Sierra Club, is a major force behind actions happening in most provincial ridings throughout the CRD (as well as in the rest of the province). Find the one nearest you or dance/ cheer on the dancers led by GVAT member, Amalia Schelhorn, in Saanich South. (See prior calendar event for rehearsal details.)
